However, his family’s secure new life, as well as the security and property of every settler of the Grants, is threatened by the political machinations of New York colony’s wealthy landlord class. Back after a month from almost dying from Covid, we sit down to begin our discussion on the life of Ethan Allen, the controversial hero of the American Revolution and the Founding Father of the state of Vermont. In this installment, the legendary King of Prussia thrusts his country into the Seven Years War, a fight for survival against three of the most powerful militaries in Europe, as well as the tragedies that accompanied the troubled ruler during this time.
